The aim of offering the award is two-fold. First to stimulate creative thinking among our young people and second, to help cultivate a research environment in Singapore.

The Award Committee is looking for inventions that are original, highly applicable & practicable and which can be commercialised to generate wealth for the country.

To enhance the integrity of the Award, a panel of judges was formed to assess the entries. The judges are drawn from academics of the universities and professionals from government bodies. Private sector judges are also invited to join the panel.
